TSC In The News

TSC’s 50th Anniversary

TSC recently celebrated 50 years of building successful retirement plans. Since Ted Giannobile founded TSC in 1966, our focus has been to provide expert retirement plan administration services. TSC has now grown to be one of the largest and most respected retirement plan consulting firms in the country.

TSC was there in 1974 when ERISA was passed and helped usher in 401(k) plans in the early 1980s. Since that time, retirement plans have continued to grow and evolve. So has TSC. In 1998, led by Gary Zurek and Mark Foster, TSC established an ESOP and became an employee-owned company. Today TSC has grown to nearly 50 employees and remains dedicated to providing excellent customer service.

Thank you for entrusting us with your retirement plan needs over the last half century!

Retirement: Goal Achieved!

Mark FosterExecutive Vice President and Senior Counsel, Mark Foster, has been consulting clients regarding the design and operation of their qualified retirement plans for more than 36 years and providing internal technical support and training for TSC staff. He joined TSC in 1978 and became a Principal of the company in 1998.

On April 30, TSC sent Mark off to his next great adventure: retirement! The travel-themed luncheon included the dedication of the Mark H. Foster Foyer, presentation of practical retirement gag gifts, and a game of Family Feud with topics like “What Mark Will Do with his Spare Time in Retirement”, “Where Has Mark Traveled” and “What Were Mark’s Job Duties at TSC.” Words of gratitude and admiration from TSC President, Gary Zurek, and TSC Vice President, Matt Slyter, topped off the fun.

The employees of TSC work day in and day out on client retirement plans. Marveling in Mark Foster’s 36 years of professional accomplishments encourages us to continue to excel to achieve our own retirement.

Congratulations Mark! It is not “goodbye,” just “see you later!”

TSC’s Gary Zurek Featured on KSTP-TV

KSTP-TV featured Gary Zurek, President of TSC, who discussed retirement planning and benefits.

Zurek shared how TSC has been proactive in supporting retirement readiness by giving clients a customized tool to review and analyze retirement benefits – the TSC 401(k) Health Check™. He discussed why the company began offering this quick and easy tool to plan sponsors in 2007 and now routinely provides the service to customers.

“We have offered this information to our customers because we see it as crucial,” said Zurek. “We support the changes that will result in a more successful retirement for participants and that will encourage other plan administrators to do what we have already been doing.”
